The Three Wise Men and Santa come to Benitachell
After the visit of Santa Claus to Benitachell last 24th December, the town is getting ready to welcome the Three Wise Men -Balthasar, Melchior and Caspar- who will bring their gold, incense and myrrh.
The magi will arrive on 5th January at about 18:00 h. Then, the procession will start in Alicante Avenue and end in Town Hall, where they will be welcomed by the authorities and public figures of Benitachell.

As Christmas arrives, each town organises a themed street market and the arrival of both Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men. A festive town like Benitachell is no exception to this rule: Everything is already set up for the enjoyment of the youngest members of the family.
On 20th and 21st December, there will be auditions to enter the Municipal School of Music under the direction of Antoni Josep Catalá Buigues, at 17:00 h. The Municipal School of Music is located in 10Plaza Nueva. Every year, this school organises activities linked to music learning; music kindergarten, introduction to music, dulzaina, oboe, etc. People can also sign up for dance lessons, on different levels. The school is also responsible for other cultural activities such as band members exchange, concerts and auditions.
The Government of the Region of Valencia will finance this project
Benitachell will finally have a water tank.
In 1998, the Senija well was temporarily closed. This situation led to an analysis of the water supply required on the area in case of deficiencies in the service. It was calculated that on a day, the area would require 22,736 cubic metres.
To comply with this number, additional tanks had to be built, to increase the current capacity in 10.000 cubic metres. The decision was made to build a 6,000 cubic metres water tank in Teulada and another of 4,000 cubic metres in Cumbre del Sol.
Civil Defence and Volunteeer Firefighters will share facilities in Benitachell
On Wednesday, November 24th at 11:00 h, the Foundation Stone ceremony to build the new Civil Defence Organisation and Volunteer Firefighters joint facilities in the Iris area of the Cumbre del Sol residential Park, in Poble Nou de Benitachell, north access (Benitachell), in front of The Lady Elizabeth Junior School.
The celebration will be attended by Honorable Mr. Serafin Castellano Gomez, Counselor of the Government of the Region of Valencia.
This is fantastic news for the Volunteer Firefighters and the Civil Defence Organisations of Benitachell.
Christmas street markets in Spain
The Town Hall of Benitachell has announced the installation of this year’s Christmas street market on Sunday, December 5th 2010 in Jose Antonio street.
This announcement has been issued with almost one month anticipation to allow anyone interested in having a spot in the Christmas Street Market Benitachell 2010 to request it now. To do so, interested parties must file a request in the General Registry Office of the Town Hall. The opening hours of the office are 09:00 h to 14:00 h Mondays to Fridays.
Bioparc Valencia
On Sunday, October 28th, the Reiss Association, with the help of the Benitachell Town Hall, has organised a day trip to the Bioparc Valencia –a zoo park of over 100,000 sqm with fauna from Madagascar and Equatorial Africa.
The bus will leave at 09:00 h from the cemetery parking lot and will come back to Benitachell at 17:00 h.
