The City of Poble Nou de Benitachell publishes the financial information related to year-end 2012, which was closed with a surplus of € 426,000
The Town of El Poble Nou de Benitachell ended the year of 2012 with positive numbers. Mayor Josep Femenia reported that the last year’s accounts ended with a positive result of € 426,376, a great result given the Spanish economic crisis.
San Antonio Festival in Benitachell
The Poble Nou de Benitachell’s “Penya de Cavallistes i carreters” (Cart and horsemen club) has scheduled a weekend party in the framework of the traditional San Antonio festival. After a couple of years doing only the blessing fest, this year the program has expanded to two days of performances of “bous al carrer” (bulls at the streets).

The Legal Advisory Service of Benitachell’s Department of Social Welfare has recently launched a foreclosures mediation service. This service is free of charge and is intended to inform advice and -if necessary- to make mediation between the house owners and the banks. Benitachell town officers explained that the service is offered to residents of homes located in town who are at risk of social exclusion or eviction.
This service supports people who require information about monthly payments mortgage alternatives, consequences of a possible default, mediation with lender before a possible future default and legal advice when debtor is already immerse in a lawsuit.
The Three Wise Men visit Benitachell
Latest news from Bethlehem reports that it is expected that Their Majesties the Three Wise Men are arriving to Poble Nou de Benitachell on Saturday 5 January at 18:30 h. During their visit their majesties are planning a parade from Alicante Ave. to the City Hall, so all children in town are invited to attend to this event in this unforgettable day.
After the visit to the City, their Majesties will continue their journey to the church, where after worshiping baby Jesus, will hand gifts to all the children of Benitachell.

The Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of El Poble Nou de Benitachell launches its first campaign this season to reward their loyalty during the Christmas. “Las compras de Navidad en tu comercio tienen premio” (“Christmas shopping at your local shop are rewarded”) is the name of the new commercial promotion which will hand two awards of 400 € to people with tickets matching the winning numbers of the “El Niño” lottery on 6 January.
All purchases made until 5 January will participate in the draft.
The Three Wise Men visit Benitachell
Holidays activities continue in Benitachell in the coming days with the expected visit of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men and several othere activities for children in town.
On Wednesday 2 January from 9:00 to 13:00 h. there will be a baking workshop ta the Social Center.
On Thursday 3 January from 9:00 to 13:00 h. will continue the Christmas workshop at the Social Centre with “Origami and Christmas Carol” by Oracle de L’Est.
