Moors and Christians in Moraira
On the weekend of 11th and 12th December, the streets of Moraira are embellished to celebrate the “Mig Any” (Half Year) of the Moros y Cristianos -Moors and Christians Fiestas-. As the tradition advises, the General Committee organizes this fiesta for another year. The event will be celebrated, mostly, in the tent of “Les Sorts” parking area. This is the same spot where the VII Feria de Nuestro Comercio –Local trade fair- took place only a week ago.

Espai La Senieta
Teulada-Moraira has organised a film season in November and December with a special feature of French films promoted by the by Unión Francophone Teulada-Moraira.
French films, in Espai La Senieta at 18:45 h:
November 17th: “Malice”.
December 7th: “Monsieur Batignole”.
Movies dubbed in Spanish, screened in the Teulada Town Hall at 18:00 h:
November 7th: “Invictus” by Clint Eastwood, in the Assembly Hall

Fiestas in Teulada with traditional Valencian region music
The weekend of the 18th and 19th of September, Teulada celebrates its “Divina Pastora” fiestas, a traditional local fiesta that they stopped celebrating and that “Colla El Falçó” Association of rustic flute and small drum players has recovered and has been celebrating for several years in order to encourage and promote Valencian and popular music and transmit the cultural identity of the town.
On Saturday 18th of September those that visit Teulada can enjoy a game of “pilota valenciana” (a Valencian region ball game) on De Dalt Street, a tune played by street musicians Colla El Falçó at 7pm in the historic heart of Teulada and a popular evening dinner and “Cantada a la Fresca” traditional songs sung on the street.

First photo contest in Moraira-Teulada
The first photo contest “A Summer of Possibilities in Teulada-Moraira” is open to all members of the public, provided that the subject is their holidays spent in Teulada-Moraira.
The complete rules can be viewed on the Teulada-Moraira tourism website, www.teulada-moraira.es, although they anticipate that the registration for the competition is free and a maximum of five photographs should be submitted in digital format, full colour, originals, not previously published in any media or disclosed on private websites or similar formulas, nor have won any another contest and should not incorporate items produced by others.

The popular Muscatel fiesta in Teulada
On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of September, 2010 Teulada will be celebrating its popular Muscatel Festival, with two full days of popular events and tastings are free to all attendees. We hereby include the schedule prepared for this year’s events which have multiplied.
On Friday September 3rd the Muscatel festival begins with the poetry circuit to be held in the historic centre of Teulada at 11:00 pm, to commemorate the birth of the poet Vicent Andres Estelles and his stay in Teulada in the year 1974, the poetry circuit will leave from the Plaza de la Creu square.
