The Department of Environment of the City of Poble Nou de Benitachell is organing a cleaning Moraig Cover for next Saturday 22 June. This maintenance activity -which includes submarine and overland works open to all locals and visitors-, is aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and its impact in the Mediterranean coast. Moraig Cove
The City of Poble Nou de Benitachell has finished marking the swimming area of the beaches in the municipality limits. This action is part of plan of development of the main tourist area of the town before the arrival of the summer season. (more…)
Moraig Cove
The Town of Benitachell has recently improved the access to Moraig Cove. The acces to the local beach was affected by a storm in November, but the recent maintenance works guarantee a smooth access to visitors arriving in peak season.
Last autumn storm swept rocks along the road and broke an important part of the car access area.
With the arrival of inspiring spring, we all start to fantasize about our next holidays soaking up the sun at the beach.
For starters, we wanted to share with you some photographs we made of Playa Moraig cove at Cumbre del Sol, in Poble Nou de Benitachell, a town belonging to the province of Alicante, only 7 km from Jávea and 4 km from Teulada-Moraira.

The Moraig Cove in Poble Nou de Benitatxell in the Alicante province, in the new guide published by the Valencian Autonomous Region’s Tourism Board “Charming coves and beaches”, a route round the best places to get lost this summer in the provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón.
They highlighted on the North Costa Blanca the Moraig Cove of Poble Nou de Benitatxell along with Les Devesses and Les Rotes in Dénia, El Portitxol and La Granadella in Jávea, El Portet in Teulada-Moraira, Les Bassetes and La Fustera in Benissa and El Gasparet in Calpe.
