Benitachell church Square
During the month of August in Benitachell everyone can enjoy nice films in an outdoor free movie theater improvised at the Church Square every Wednesday at 22:00 in the framework of the season “Cinema al carrer” (movies at the Street). Films will be screened in Castilian language on 8 and 29 August and in Valencian language on 22 August.
Lirios Roundabout
The City of El Poble Nou de Benitachell is improving the street signals at Puig Llorença area of Cumbre del Sol. The Road Safety Project has added new signage at strategic locations, both horizontally and vertically, to limit traffic speeds and improve safety for pedestrians and drivers. This project improves road safety in the residential area and implements all the right traffic signs at major junctions and intersections of the road network.
According to the preliminary Local Police report, the town’s Services Department has taken actions on eleven priority issues on junctions and roads including South access (Kalmias), Lirios, Magnolias, Pueblo del Mar, Dalias, Adelfas, Pueblo de la Paz, Pueblo de la Luz and Moraig access road.
VAPF Modern Villa at Channel 9 TV Show
The production team of the Channel 9 show “Interiors” returned to Poble Nou de Benitachell’s Cumbre del Sol in order to film one episode about a property built and sold by Grupo VAPF developer and construction company.
This modern style designed villa is located in Jazmines Residential Estates, one of the most exclusive developments in Cumbre del Sol.
Lifeguard and First Aid Services at Cala Moraig Cove
The lifeguard service of Moraig Cove in Poble Nou de Benitachell has started the summer season This year, the town services have expanded with a new first aid stand, managed by professionals. This service will be offered everyday at Moraig Cove until 15 September, from 10 to 18 h.
This year, services available at the cove include a professional and facilities to give first level and prompt assistance to anyone suffering an accident or problem. This is not a simple lifeguard stand, but also a first aid one. The amount of medical assistants has increased and the stand is now bigger, to aid beach visitors more effectively.
Literacy course in Benitachell
The Departments of Education and Social Services of the town of Benitachell will offer a literacy class for immigrant that will be held from 15 to 28 June.
The main objective of this program is to undertake training activities aimed to the immigrant population and to provide them the necessary tools to extend their knowledge of the Spanish Language both written and spoken in the everyday activities.
