Lifeguard and First Aid Services at Cala Moraig Cove
The lifeguard service of Moraig Cove in Poble Nou de Benitachell has started the summer season This year, the town services have expanded with a new first aid stand, managed by professionals. This service will be offered everyday at Moraig Cove until 15 September, from 10 to 18 h.
This year, services available at the cove include a professional and facilities to give first level and prompt assistance to anyone suffering an accident or problem. This is not a simple lifeguard stand, but also a first aid one. The amount of medical assistants has increased and the stand is now bigger, to aid beach visitors more effectively.
Also, on Sunday 1 July, the team of lifeguards of Cala Moraig cove did a practice with the lifeguard helicopter.
The practice was a evacuation simulation with a sling from boat to helicopter, and another rescue from a cliff. Civil Defence and the Local Police also took part in the practice. The simulation helped check the coordination abilities of the organisms working at the beach.
