Today we want to share with you the information about this hiking trail activity called “Camina per la Marina Alta amb la Lluna” (Walk through the Marina Alta under the Moon), organized by CEMA (Marina Alta Sport Consortium).

The guided trail route will take place on 31 August 2012 along 10,5 km of Mediterranean coastline and countryside landscape. This will be a night time hiking route considered of low difficulty, but still quite demanding because of the length and 125 meters vertical drop.

The activity will kick-off  rom Jesus Pobre main St. at 21.00 h., so most of the trekking time will be done under the moonlight with a superb views of the rural paths and farmlands of Mitjans and Tossal dels Molins areas.

The Teulada Moraira Auditorium will host this Friday 24 August the “2nd Exhibition of Wine Tourism and Gastronomy” which includes activities like a cooking show by Quique Dacosta, one of the 40 best chefs in the world.

The event will start around 19:00 h. with the two Michelin stars awarded chef Quique Dacosta presenting an artistic dish called Viña (“Vine”) based in Muscat grape.

This afternoon will be a hiking trail guided route visiting Barraca Cove (SL_CV 97) at 19:00 h.  This activity is free of charge and there is no need to pre-register to attend, so there’s still time to grab your trekking gear and show up at the Tourist Info Office. This route takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to be completed and is considered of low difficulty. Those wishing to attend this route must bring water, proper footwear, camera and a swimsuit.

Tomorrow 17 August 2012 another guided trekking route will take place along the Mediterranean coastline all the way to Cape San Antonio. This will be a night time hiking route considered of low difficulty, but still quite demanding because of the 10.3 km length and 190 meters

Today will kick off the Medieval Market in Teulada, so expect to see the city streets transformed into a great yesteryears celebration from 10 to 12 August when you can enjoy dances, dishes, crafts and several activities that marked the life and culture of the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula.

This year there will be many new attractions in the Medieval Market, like two different areas of children’s entertainment at Plaça de la Creu (medieval jousts) and Plaça dels Porxes  (bouncy castles and guided games).

From 4 to 6 August we will enjoy three days of superb performances starting at 22:30 h. at Constitution Sq. of Xàbia, featuring Omer Avital, Richard Galliano and Andrea Motis & Joan Chamorro Group, as we can see in the program below:

Jávea Food Market -better known as Mercat Municipal- is the best place in town for finding the best local produce from both sea and countryside.

Jávea’s Municipal Food is located since 1946 in an old nuns’ convent building in the Celestino Sq. (old part of town) which keeps its original design and architecture.
