La Cumbre Restaurant –located at Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol- is already serving its 2017 autumn menu.
This season, Eloy and Celia have prepared a menu that incorporates seasonal products such as several kinds of mushrooms and international dishes such as the “Causa Limeña”, Thai-style chicken, the exquisite Banoffe Pie and more as we show you below:
Tapas:
- “Causa Limeña” potato, chicken and avocado.
- Honey bread with duck pate.
- Patatas bravas (braised potatoes) with natural sauce.
- Homemade prawn corquettes.
- Spinach, bacon, pine nuts crepes with blue cheese sauce.
Lemon Sorbet with Cava
Main course (to choose from):
- Hake loin with mushrooms.
- Cod au gratin with soft garlic muslin.
- Baked lamb.
- Filo with sautéed vegetables.
- Pork cheeks with red wine sauce.
- Thai-style chicken with basmati rice.
Dessert (to choose from):
- “Banoffe Pie” banana cake.
- Carrot cake with cheese frosting.
- Ice cream of coffee and Bayleys over crusty puff pastry.
The menu includes bread with garlic and oil and 1/2 bottle of wine per person.
The price is € 20 per person.

Next 11 October, the Race Village Venue of the largest Volvo Ocean Race in the history of Alicante will open its doors to show a huge range of activities related to sailing and the Valencia Region.
This is going to be the fourth time that the Volvo Ocean Race is taking place in Alicante, but it is the first time that the venue of the Ocean Race Villa will be that big (more than 55,000 square meters), featuring a wide program of activities for all who visit the port during these days.
The first stage of the race will take place on 22 October, in a 700 miles long lap from the Port of Alicante going southwest bound towards the Strait of Gibraltar. After crossing the strait, sailboats will navigate towards Sagres (south-western tip of Portugal) and then go to the north along the coast to Lisbon.
The Volvo Ocean Race is commonly known as the longest and hardest competition in professional sport, and as one of the three major events in the world of sailing alongside the Olympic Games and the America’s Cup, so you have the opportunity to enjoy a first level regatta in Alicante.

Everything is ready for the Oktoberfest Beer Festival to be held on 6, 7, 8 and 9 October at Teulada-Moraira! The marquee is all set at Les Sort car parking (Moraira).
During these four days, more than 3,000 liters of beer will be served, and entertainment is guaranteed with the performance of a German musical duo in the morning and afternoon, and a mobile DJ set on Friday and Saturday nights.
You may also enjoy typical German dishes such as bratwurst sausages, meatloaf in a bagel, roasted potato with fine herbs fresh cheese, pretzels with butter, potato salad and Sauerkraut among others.

Enjoy a wonderful sunset tour among the Vineyards of Poble Nou de Benitatxell and live a unique grape picking experience while you enjoy the astonishing Mediterranean sunset.
The tour offers several activities to know the agricultural district of the municipality while you stroll through a unique environment where the muscatel vineyards receive the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea that give our wine its extraordinary flavor.
Local farmers will teach you the techniques and harvesting traditions revolving around grape culture. You will have the opportunity to cut your own grapes from the vine and taste them. To end this unique experience, you will enjoy an outdoors dinner at the vineyards with dishes made with local produce and, of course, locally made wines and mistelas.

On Saturday 61 September, the Benitachell International Neighbors Association and the Volunteer Firefighters are throwing a summer party at Cumbre del Sol. The party aims to raise funds for both firefighters and neighbors association.
The event is taking place next to the Laude Lady Elizabeth School from 18:00 h. There you can enjoy barbecue, drinks, live music and many more surprises.

Last Sunday 27 August we had the opportunity to witness the 9th stage of the Vuelta Ciclista (Spanish Cycling Tour) 2017, with finish line in Cumbre del Sol, in a day in which we had a great time and we could see Cumbre del Sol full of cycling fans enjoying along the two areas where the race ran through, especially the second and final one (Puig de la Llorença), where the finish line was located.

From Grupo VAPF we would like to congratulate Chris Froome for his victory and all the cyclists in general for the awesome sporting event we enjoyed last Sunday.
