A couple of months ago, we informed about the intentions of Canal 9 of shooting a report on a property at Cumbre del Sol to broadcast it in its TV show, Interiors.
The shoot took place on the 26th April and the show was broadcasted on Canal 9 on Saturday, 4th June at 15:30 h.

Spain's Geology Society
The fourth edition of Geolodía (portmanteau of Geologia and dia, geology and day) will be held on Sunday 8 May for the fourth consecutive year —and throughout the Spanish territory.
This day is dedicated to the popularization of geology using local reference points and the places of study where the geosciences professionals live, research and work.
This is the case of the activity to be held in Moraig cove of Benitachell, led by 40 to 50 professional from different fields of geology and geology engineering in the province of Alicante —most of them professors from local universities and institutes .

Dates Palm Tree (Phoenix dactylifera)
The Town Hall of Poble Nou of Benitachell has issued a communiqué with advice on how to fight the plague of Red Palm Weevils or Picudos Rojos currently attacking public and private palm trees in town.
First: If you are a resident in town and own date (Phoenix dactylifera) and/or Canary palm trees (Phoenix canariensis), please be aware of the health of your plants. Should they show any strange signs of being attacked by a plague or bitten, please report this immediately to the Environment Department by calling at +34 966 493 369. You can also report this to the Council of Agriculture, Fishing and Food —Conselleria de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación.

Library of Poble Nou de Benitachell
The Town Hall of Poble Nou de Benitachell has signed a DSL contract for the Public Library to offer a better connection. The internet sped is now up to 8 MB.
The ground floor hosts 11 PCs and the second floor has two more for people’s use. Not only are these PCs connected to hi-speed internet, but also there is wi-fi available throughout the building. To get the password, request it to a member of the library staff.
