Cycling Day in Cumbre del Sol
This week we had the privilege to enjoy a cycling day with the presence of Miguel Indurain, Perico Delgado, Óscar Pereiro, Fernando Escartín, Carlos Sastre, Iñigo Cuesta, Dori Ruano and cycling aficionados such as car driver Roberto Merhi and sports journalist Carlos de Andrés, among others, as you can see in the photos below.
This was a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to personally meet the legends of cycling who participated in this event organized by the sponsors of the Tour of Spain. The cyclists and some few luck enthusiasts toured the route up to scenic spot of Puig de la Lorença, the same one to be covered in the 9th stage of “La Vuelta” (Spanish cycling tour) on Sunday 27 August, with finish line at Cumbre del Sol.

Cycling in Cumbre del Sol
On Wednesday 10 May, we will have the opportunity to see Miguel Indurain, Perico Delgado and Oscar Pereiro climbing by bike to Puig de la Llorença through Cumbre del Sol.
The race will start in Calpe and will go to Benitatxell through Moraira and up to Cumbre del Sol until the top of Puig (more…)

One of the participating bikes at the Bikers Morning
The 1st Bikers Morning celebrated in Poble Nou de Benitachell 2010, last Sunday the 9th of May, was a real success and grouped together a total of 350 participants from all over the Valencian Region, from the towns of Torrent, Valencia, Ondara, Denia, Calpe, Teulada- Moraira, Benissa, Jalon, Alicante, Xativa, Benidorm, El Vergel y Javea.
The organisers ( Peña Els Taurons from Xabia/Javea and the Benitachell Frontenis Club), prepared a bike route around the Puig de la Llorença, which finished at the Benitachell football pitch.
