The Poble Nou de Benitatxell Christmas Market will be held this year on Sunday 10 December 2017.
The city council already opened the registration period so anyone who wishes to participate can do so. The number of stands is limited so if you want to participate you have to fill in the registration form and bring it to the town hall. The deadline is next Friday, 24 November.

Enjoy a wonderful sunset tour among the Vineyards of Poble Nou de Benitatxell and live a unique grape picking experience while you enjoy the astonishing Mediterranean sunset.
The tour offers several activities to know the agricultural district of the municipality while you stroll through a unique environment where the muscatel vineyards receive the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea that give our wine its extraordinary flavor.
Local farmers will teach you the techniques and harvesting traditions revolving around grape culture. You will have the opportunity to cut your own grapes from the vine and taste them. To end this unique experience, you will enjoy an outdoors dinner at the vineyards with dishes made with local produce and, of course, locally made wines and mistelas.

The tours will take place from 18:30 to 21:00 h. and will be conducted in Spanish, Valencian and English languages.

If you are a foreigner and a full time resident in Cumbre del Sol or any other residential area of Poble Nou de Benitatxell, you might find useful this information. The City Council and the Diputación de Alicante organized the “Days to promote the integration of foreign citizens”, aiming to inform to foreigners how the local administration works and the possibilities it can offer to all.
The conferences/lectures will be held on 19, 20 and 21 September from 16:00 to 19:00 h. at Espai Abiar. If you are interested in participating, you must register by sending your name and telephone number to: adl@elpoblenoudebenitatxell.org or signing up personally at the office located at 14, Padre Plácido St.
The Town of Poble Nou de Benitatxell wants to invite to all residents to learn more about the local government and social, cultural and festive life of the municipality.

Moraig Cove
Moraig Cove regains its blue flag, an award that was first obtained in 2013 and -with the exception of 2015- has maintained during all these years.
This is definitely a great reward for all the effort made to preserve the optimal conditions of the area in a year in which the regulations were more demanding than usual and with a very strict directive of fresh water and wastewater treatment.
Spain continues to lead this flag awarded by the ADEAC-FEE (Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor – Foundation for Environmental Education), which takes in consideration the quality of the waters, services and facilities, environmental information and education, environmental management and safety. Valencian Region leads the ranking of awarded flags with 129 flags, 64 of them in the province of Alicante.

Denia: Les Bovetes, Les Marines, Molins and Punta Raset.
Xàbia: La Grava, Arenal, Granadella.

Cycling Day in Cumbre del Sol
This week we had the privilege to enjoy a cycling day with the presence of Miguel Indurain, Perico Delgado, Óscar Pereiro, Fernando Escartín, Carlos Sastre, Iñigo Cuesta, Dori Ruano and cycling aficionados such as car driver Roberto Merhi and sports journalist Carlos de Andrés, among others, as you can see in the photos below.
This was a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to personally meet the legends of cycling who participated in this event organized by the sponsors of the Tour of Spain. The cyclists and some few luck enthusiasts toured the route up to scenic spot of Puig de la Lorença, the same one to be covered in the 9th stage of “La Vuelta” (Spanish cycling tour) on Sunday 27 August, with finish line at Cumbre del Sol.
