One of the many routes at Montgo
“Conoce el Montgó”, which in English would translate like “Get to know the Montgo” is a didactic program organised by the Montgo nature park. The dates of these free hiking tours for 2011 have already been set.
30th January: The route called “Asentamientos Íberos del Montgó” –Iberian Settlements in the Montgo- will start in the Xara train halt and continue through the Iberian settlements of Alto del Benimaquia, Coll de Pous and Pic de l’Aguila.
Difficulty: Medium. Distance: 9 Km. Time: 3 hours and a half.

One of the many routes to Montgo
It seems like fall hasn’t arrived yet. The weather is still perfect for a day at the beach. However, some prefer taking a hike in a nature park, a mountain or in the countryside.
Even though the beach and sun tourism are is the most popular choice in this area, outdoors activities in Montgo natural park will offer many excursions in the next few months under the “Conoce el Montgo” (meet the Montgo) program. Difficulty degrees will vary and these treks will be free of charge and open to everybody.
