Classic music festival in Jávea
Today we would like to bring you some news about the activities and events this month in Jávea (only 7 km from Cumbre del Sol residential complex); it is a comprehensive calendar, perfect to combine with lazy beach days:

Granadella Cove

III Tapas Crawl in Benissa
Benissa is a dynamic, diverse and culturally rich town, with a wide range of leisurely options even though it is not a big town like Calpe and Jávea. Some of the most relevant activities on during the next days in Benissa are:
Tapas crawl:
The local Tourism and Commerce offices organize the III “Benissa amb Sabor: Cultura i Tapes” Tapas Crawl. This event aims to bring together food and culture while bringing the local scent in a large selection of dishes.
This event will take place in 15 different food businesses in Benissa, from 8 to 31 July.
Every tapa+drink will cost €2.

Moors and Christians in Jávea
From long ago, the Moors and Christians —Moros y Cristianos— festival is an important part of the Mediterranean culture. This is particularly true in Spanish coastal towns like Jávea. This is the schedule of activities for this festival:
Saturday, 16th July:
21:00 h: Firing of the “rocket” declaring the opening of the festival and the official lighting.
21:30 h: Parade, in which representatives, standards and other people taking part will progressively join.
22:00 h: Final presentation of the fiestas, attended also by the highest authorities in town.
00:00 h: Music on the streets until 05:00 h.
Sunday, 17th July:
20:30 h: “VII Concert de Música Festera” concert directed by Mr. Juan Sanjuán Rodrigo and guest composers, at Jaime I Boulevard.
Tuesday, 19th July:
20:00 h: Visit around town with charangas —brass bands— and flowers offering at the niche of the San Jaime St.
Wednesday, 20th July:
19:00 h: Opening of the XII Medieval Fair
19:00 h: Row with harquebuses to honour the patron saint of the festival.
20:00 h: Flower offering with charangas —brass bands— from Aduanas del Mar to the Church.
22:30 h: Brotherhood dinner with a brass band at Dr. Fleming St.
00:00 h: Music on the streets until 05:00 h.
Thursday, 21st July:
21:30 h: Moor disembarking at La Grava beach, followed by the surrendering of the Christian Troops’ Castle at Jaime Boulevard.
22:30: Parade of two brass bands around the Kabyles until 04:00 h.
Friday, 22nd July:
10:00 Sardines barbeque with brass band at Jaime I Boulevard.
17:00 h: XVIII Pilota Valenciana Tournament
21:00 h: Reconquest of the Castle at La Grava beach, followed by the Christian Embassy at Jaime Boulevard. Next, parade of both sides until Capitanía.
23:00 h: Batukada visiting the kabyles.
01:30 h: Music on the streets until 05:00 h.
Saturday, 23rd July:
08:00 h: Despertà —wake up call— with harquebuses’ shoots.
10:00 h: Free Chocolate accompanied by brass band at Jaime I Boulevard.
11:00 h: Children’s play are at Jaime I Boulevard.
19:00 h: Joining of the bands and music bands taking part in the parade.
20:00 h: Parade of both sides, Moors and Christians, from Pasaje Pio X, Cristo del Mar, Lepanto Avenue, until Jaime I Avenue.
22:30: Parade of two brass bands around the Kabyles until 04:00 h.
Sunday, 24th July:
08:00 h: Despertà —wake up call— with harquebuses’ shoots.
10:00 h: Free Chocolate accompanied by brass band at Jaime I Boulevard
12:00 h: Mass to honour the dead.
19:00 h: Marching bands parade.
20:00 h: Gala parade of the Christian and Moor bands
00:00 h: Ending of the parade. Fireworks.

Lady of Mount Carmel
The festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados and the Lady of Mount Carmel every year are, among others, the backdrop of the most important celebrations of the town of Moraira. Look below the calendar of events in the framework of this festival:

III Tapas Crawl in Benissa
The Tapas Crawl in Benissa this year is called “3º Ruta Benissa amb Sabor: Cultura i tapes” and it’s not a typical tapas route. This time, they added a twist of something different: Food and music come together to deliver a singular experience until the 31st of July.
Everything starts today. At 21:00 h, there will be an opening event at Jaume I square. A show by “Sifasol”, the local school of modern music, will follow.
