The location of Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort can’t be beat. It’s right in the heart of the Costa Blanca; you can make the most of every season, especially the summertime; and it provides a unique experience for all the senses. For these reasons, we have organised a special series of events for you. Finish off these last days of August with all the activities that we’ve planned!
Living at Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort means living in a peaceful oasis, but if you’re looking to build a strong inner balance, we encourage you to participate in the free yoga sessions that we’ve organised throughout the summer. Our last yoga sessions will take place on Tuesday, August 20th and 27th at 7:00 pm in Cala Moraig and on Thursday, August 22nd at 9:00 am in Mirador dels Testos in Benitatxell. Inner peace, physical exercise and stunning ocean views make for the perfect combination to end the month of August. If you’d like to discover our apartment developments and luxury villas on the Costa Blanca up close, we look forward to welcoming you to our Open House every afternoon from Monday to Friday between the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 pm at villa 29 Lirios, Cumbre del Sol. This will be going on until the 30th of August. But it doesn’t end there, we have much more! As we have been doing since the beginning of July, each Thursday we’re ready to assist you at our Cava Afternoons event at the Moraira VAPF Store (Calle Tosqueres, 5) from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We recommend taking advantage of the day to visit Moraira, one of the treasures of Alicante’s coast! Discover its beaches as well as its exquisite gastronomy and end your day over a glass of cava. Come out to visit us the next Thursdays, the 22nd and 29th of August. We can’t wait to meet you!
All the activities and events that we’ve organized at VAPF are developed with you in mind. During these last days of August, we want you to be able to enjoy these experiences with us and the rest of the residents at Cumbre del Sol. Pass by one afternoon for our Open House and get to know our developments in greater detail, come by our Moraira office on Thursdays to find out about our real estate updates over a glass of cava, and reconnect with yourself at our yoga sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Next 11 October, the Race Village Venue of the largest Volvo Ocean Race in the history of Alicante will open its doors to show a huge range of activities related to sailing and the Valencia Region.
This is going to be the fourth time that the Volvo Ocean Race is taking place in Alicante, but it is the first time that the venue of the Ocean Race Villa will be that big (more than 55,000 square meters), featuring a wide program of activities for all who visit the port during these days.
The first stage of the race will take place on 22 October, in a 700 miles long lap from the Port of Alicante going southwest bound towards the Strait of Gibraltar. After crossing the strait, sailboats will navigate towards Sagres (south-western tip of Portugal) and then go to the north along the coast to Lisbon.
The Volvo Ocean Race is commonly known as the longest and hardest competition in professional sport, and as one of the three major events in the world of sailing alongside the Olympic Games and the America’s Cup, so you have the opportunity to enjoy a first level regatta in Alicante.

Grupo VAPF is pleased to inform you about the upcoming 1st Lady Elizabeth Golf Tournament, which will take place on Friday 9 June at the La Sella Golf Club, where we will be delighted to hand the first prize to the winning team.
This is an Open Texas Scramble Tournament with 18 holes, consisting of teams of 4 golfers, ideal to enjoy a day of golf with your friends.
The program of the day will be as shown below:
11: 00 h.: Team registration.
11:40 h.: Welcome Act.
12:00 h.: Start of the tournament.
16:00 h.: Golf Clinic for beginners.
17:00 h.: End of the tournament.
17:30 h.: Award ceremony and cocktail at the 19th hole.

Cycling Day in Cumbre del Sol
This week we had the privilege to enjoy a cycling day with the presence of Miguel Indurain, Perico Delgado, Óscar Pereiro, Fernando Escartín, Carlos Sastre, Iñigo Cuesta, Dori Ruano and cycling aficionados such as car driver Roberto Merhi and sports journalist Carlos de Andrés, among others, as you can see in the photos below.
This was a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to personally meet the legends of cycling who participated in this event organized by the sponsors of the Tour of Spain. The cyclists and some few luck enthusiasts toured the route up to scenic spot of Puig de la Lorença, the same one to be covered in the 9th stage of “La Vuelta” (Spanish cycling tour) on Sunday 27 August, with finish line at Cumbre del Sol.

La Vuelta at Cumbre del So
The 72nd edition of the Tour of Spain was officially presented on Thursday 12 January at the Madrid’s Palacio Municipal de Congresos and nationally broadcasted by Teledeporte Channel.
This presentation officially announced the locations of the 21 stages run in this tour which will start on 19 August and end on 10 September.
Once again Cumbre del Sol will be witness of the 9th stage of the Spanish Cycling Tour. The stage will start at Orihuela and will cover 176.3 km before arriving at the top of Puig de la Llorença. Cyclists will return twice to the Benitatxell, first to Cumbre del Sol and second up to Puig de la Llorença summit, where the finish linel will be located.
