At VAPF Group, we understand the importance of leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle, which is why we think it’s important to encourage sporting activities at any age, especially for children. Sport is not only a key factor for good health, it also helps with socialising and understanding values such as respect and perseverance.
At VAPF Group, to reinforce our support for sport, we’ve sponsored the sports equipment of the young gymnasts at the Sports Schools of Poble Nou de Benitatxell. The colours of the uniform are blue and yellow, which have a long local tradition and also those of the local football team in Benitatxell.
The official sportswear was handed over to the 153 boys and girls from the different clubs by local sports councillor Manolo Segarra, who had previously expressed his satisfaction with the uniform: “We hope the children feel motivated and wear it with pride at local competitions.”
Of these 153 members of the Sports Schools, many are enrolled in more than one sport. The activities they take part in are football, tennis, padel, rhythmic gymnastics, karate, swimming, and golf.
At VAPF Group, we believe that it is important to support and participate in the local community, and play a part in developing activities in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. That’s why we believe that sponsoring this uniform is a show of our support for local sports.

We are celebrating! Cala del Moraig, the wonderful cove in Cumbre del Sol, has earned one of the 696 Blue Flags that have been awarded to Spanish beaches this summer. The Blue Flag is an award given annually by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to beaches and marinas which meet its environmental and operational standards. This year, the Valencian Community has been awarded the most flags with a total of 146, and Alicante province achieved the top spot with 68 beaches receiving this seal of approval.
At the foot of Cumbre del Sol, protected by cliffs that are over 100 metres tall, is Cala del Moraig. This unique natural setting can be accessed along the General Playa road, signposted from the entrance of Cumbre del Sol. Its crystal-clear, deep blue waters stand out for their cleanliness and high quality, making this an ideal place to swim. The 250-metre stretch of beach is covered by pebbles and sand, and surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty.
One of the many attractions of Cala del Moraig are water sports such as sailing, snorkelling, and scuba diving, which attract many visitors to its shores every day. It’s an ideal place to discover the marine nature and underwater life of the Costa Blanca and is surrounded by unique hiking trails which offer walkers the chance to visit natural caves, and lead to other nearby coves.
It’s not just the area’s natural beauty and high-quality waters that have earned Cala del Moraig its Blue Flag, it’s also the first-class services offered here. Cool off with a cocktail or some delicious tapas in the cove’s beach bar or sunbathe in comfort on the sunbeds that are available to hire. The cove has a lifeguard, a car park, a cleaning service, and Pedalo hire to ensure a fun day for adults and children on one of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca.
The terrain in Benitatxell is made of limestone which has been shaped into cavities and beautiful geological formations. One of these is the “Cova dels Arcs”, a natural wonder and gateway to the underwater route at Cala del Moraig. “Cova dels Arcs” is a chamber formed by three natural arches and is the outlet of an underwater river, perfect for scuba divers and speleologists. Up to 1000 metres of underwater tunnels have been discovered, going to a depth of 62 metres. Through them, the underground river Riu Blanc runs into the sea.
Cala del Moraig is not the only cove in the area: very close by we also find the Cala dels Testos and Cala Llebeig, small bays hidden away at the foot of the “Morro Falquí” cliffs, which can be accessed along a trail or by sea. The beaches near Cumbre del Sol are a true paradise on the coast, perfect for enjoying the Costa Blanca’s warm weather and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
At Cumbre del Sol, you will have these Mediterranean coves on your doorstep. Cala del Moraig, with its Blue Flag, is the closest to the residential resort and so for us, the most special. Enjoy each stroll along the shore and every swim in the sea knowing that it’s a truly unique place!

Last Friday, on the 27th of April, we celebrated our first Day of the Tree with students from the international Lady Elizabeth School by carrying out a reforestation Project which saw the students plant 100 pine trees. The school children repopulated a green area near to Lirios Design in the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, which is considered an area of high environmental value.
Day of the Tree is a good opportunity to take part in educational activities so that both adults and children learn the importance of looking after the environment and the resources given to us by nature. With this initiative, VAPF Group has worked together with the pupils at the Lady Elizabeth School with the aim of creating a greener future for the town of Benitatxell.
Year 3 students from The Lady Elizabeth School were chosen to take part in this initiative, as it fit in perfectly with the topic they are working on at school: “saving the world”. Students, parents, teachers, members of VAPF Group, and the mayor of Benitatxell spent an exciting morning that helped the pupils to learn and also to enjoy the opportunity to help the environment and do their bit towards “saving the world”.
The mayor of Benitatxell, Josep Femenia, attended this pleasant outdoor event and gave a short speech to inspire the children: “When I was younger, someone very wise once told me that there were 3 important things in life: having a child, planting a tree, and writing a book; and today you are doing one of these things: sowing new life”.
Students from The Lady Elizabeth School at Cumbre del Sol
VAPF Group sponsored the event and provided two buses to pick the students up from their school and take them to where the trees would be planted, as well as giving them the gardening materials they needed. VAPF Group made the most of the occasion and offered each child a bag, a cap, and a surprise pack of seeds to plant and look after at home, to encourage their interest in nature from a young age.
Cumbre del Sol, where both the Lady Elizabeth School and the different residential areas built by VAPF Group are situated, is a unique natural enclave surrounded by green areas and the Mediterranean Sea. The area is home to protected green areas such as Granadella Natural Park, impressive cliffs and caves, and stunning beaches and coves, which are one of the main attractions in Cumbre del Sol, and a priority for VAPF Group. At VAPF Group one of our goals is to contribute to helping the environment by promoting different initiatives that protect the planet and reduce environmental problems.
The students at The Lady Elizabeth School know how important it is to look after nature around them, and it is not the first time that they have participated in activities related to the environment. Trips to the Montgó gardens, creating a garden by planting trees in the primary playground, and school trips to viewpoints and nearby locations are just some of the activities that help to educate the students.
Day of the Tree at Cumbre del Sol
VAPF Group is currently working on the construction of a new building for secondary pupils at The Lady Elizabeth School in Cumbre del Sol, so that pupils have the opportunity to broaden their studies. The work is progressing successfully, and the new classrooms will be equipped with the latest technology including four laboratories, three IT rooms, a kitchen for food science, and a space for art, dance, and theatre. The secondary pupils will be moving into the new building in September.
The pupils at The Lady Elizabeth School will be able to go back and visit the trees they have planted in the future, to see the progress they have made and appreciate their contribution to the environment.
