Fallas in Calpe 2011
We already know about smell of fiesta in the air on Costa Blanca north during Fallas’ time. Very close to Benitachell-Cumbre del Sol you can enjoy a big fallas celebration planned by the “Falla del Calp Vell” organization. See here the most outstanding events of the festivities in Calpe:
Wednesday, March 16:
16:00 h: Plantà (installation or placement) of the Fallas monuments.
19:00 h: Hot chocolate drinks for all attendees.
21:00 h: Sobaquillo Fallera dinner (bring your own sandwich) and dance party in the fallera tent.
Thursday, March 17:
13:00 h: free sardine dishes and sangria for everyone while enjoying the Fallas monuments.
18:00 h: Children activities.
Friday, March 18:
14:00 h: Free giant Paella.
19:00 h: Fallas Parade of lady falleras and their courts of honor.
21:00 h: Dance party and dinner in the fallera tent.
Saturday, March 19:
13:30 h: Great mascletà (firecrackers show) in the main square.
23:00 h: Children’s falla burning.
24:00 h: Main fallas’ burning.
