Moraira Yacht Club
For the twenty-first time, C.N. Moraira invites to the traditional Chambel Fishing Contest. Chambel fishing (also known as run lead) consists in releasing a line drawn by a lead from with several hooks attached along its length.
Next 13th, 20th and 27th February 2011, registered ships with their crews will meet at C.N. Moraira to compete in Pajel mode (very common fish in the Mediterranean) and in «other species» category.
In last year edition, the boat ALGAE, with Mateo Casanova as a skipper, won the first prize of the competition in the pajel category, obtaining 25.180 Kg of this species. The major piece -a pajel of 1.345 kg- was captured by the PEPE boat of José Pascual.
In the category of other species, the winner was the CANOR DOS, skippered by Vicente Grimalt.
