Benissa Fira i Porrat Sant Antoni 2011 traditional fair
From 15th to 30th January, the most important traditional fair in Benissa will take place: Fira y Porrat Sant Antoni 2011, with entertaining activities and events.
Pilota valenciana matches in Benissa’s Trinquet –pilota court- on 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th, with amateur singles and professional leagues.
Popular films screenings Saturdays and Sundays: “Entre Lobos” –Spanish movie-, “Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader” and “Tre metri sopra il cielo”.
XXII Cattle trade market on 29th and 30th January, where participants will be able to trade cattle and other farm animals in a designated area in Palmera street and D. Joaquin Piera y Dª Mariana Torres roundabout. Sunday 30th at 10:15 h there will be a gathering with cavalries, a parade and a carriages exhibition. At 12:00 h, there will be a horse taming exhibition.
Vintage and new cars exhibition on Sunday 30th from 10:30 h in Nou street Rei Jaume I street, San Pedro street and Dolores Piera walk.
Simultaneous chess exhibition also on Sunday 30th at 10:00 h in Rei Jaume I square, organised by Benissa’s Club d’Escacs.
Philatelic street market on Sunday 30th in Casal de Joves; event organised by Agrupación Filatélica y Numismática. At 16:30 h, there will be a philately workshop and an auction of stamps, coins, etc.
Like every year, there will be a fair with attractions for kids, stalls with traditional food by local associations, music shows, medieval market, etc.
