Moros y Cristianos in Calpe

Those planning to spend the weekend of October 23rd and 24th in Costa Blanca North –Jávea, Benitachell, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa, Calpe and their neighbouring towns- can choose from a wide range of activities and events that go beyond the ubiquitous stroll down the promenade.

CALPE celebrates its traditional Fiestas Moros y Cristianos 2010, followed by a gastronomic delight where bars and restaurants will ofer a tapa and a drink for only €2:  Tapear por Calp 100% diferent.

JÁVEA-XÀBIA presents two exhibitions: Visiones de África, by a group of young talents, and Micromundos, Bosques y otros Seres, an art display by the local yet world renowned artist Carlos Matí.

BENISSA has two options on Saturday: An enacted tourist route throughout Murla starting at 18:00 h from the Plaza Mayor of Murla and a hiking route focusing on local heritage, starting at 16:00 h from the Benissa Tourist Office. On Sunday, a theatre play for children will be staged at 12:00 h in the Auditorium of the Cultural Centre

TEULADA-MORAIRA will host the uninterrupted reading of Sant Vicent’s life –in Spanish- in the Sant Vicent Ferrer Hermitage Chapel from 08:30 to 01:00 h. At 18:00 h and 22:00 h, a more pagan show will take place in Espai La Senieta Moraira: Una noche de Tango en Buenos Aires –a tango night in Buenos Aires (€8 donation).
