Medieval Market in Teulada from the 6th to the 8th of August

Medieval Market in Teulada from the 6th to the 8th of August

This is a special edition of the Medieval Market for several reasons amongst which the return to its original location, now that the works in the historical center of Teulada have finished, and after the improvements that have been carried out this area of the town has now been declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) by the Valencian Region Authorities.

Another reason that makes this edition of the market special is that is coincides with the celebration of 600th anniversary of the arrival of St. Vincent Ferrer in Teulada, anniversary that will be reflected in many of the acts to be performed during the Medieval Market.
The medieval market will open on Friday, August 6th, at 6:00 pm and the inaugural parade will take place at 10:30pm where there will be a theatrical representation of the arrival of St. Vincent Ferrer, Patron Saint of the town, at Teulada, with the staging of two miracles in the Plaza dels Porxes. A medieval dance by the 2011 Junior Fiestas Committee will follow this and music by Colla El Falco.

On Saturday and Sunday, 7th and 8th of August, the Medieval Market will be open to the public from 11:00am to 2:00pm and from 6:00pm to 1:00am. During these days visitors can enjoy shows and workshops for all ages, among which are traditional table games and archery for children to be held on Saturday at 12:00pm, a candle making workshop, oriental dance by the group “Vicky Ruiz and a comedy show with fire by the “Fakir Ozi Kpwedo” at 7:00pm.
