Today we would like to share with you the information about the guided tours to visit the Cova de les Bruixes archaeological site in Benitatxell.

The Cova de les Bruixes (Witches’ Cave) was used as den of thieves and criminals since the late thirteenth century. In order to scare local residents away, the thieves spilled sulfur which produced mysterious flames, hence the people started to think that the cave was haunted and was named “Witches’ Cave”

The city of Benitatxell has been working for several months for recovering this archaeological site. To publicize this site, the city organized several guided tours to be held on Fridays 14, 21 and 28 October at 17:00 h.

Tour price: Adults: 4 €, Children (8-14 years old): 2 € Children under 8 years old: free.

For a tasting f traditional products during the tour, please add 6 € to the final price per person.
