Teulada Old Town tour
You all are invited to the guided and dramatized tours to be held at the Gothic Walled Old Town of Teulada during July and August 2016. The tour will kick off at 20:00 h. from Teulada town hall square.
Old town Teulada, (known as “La Vila”), was declared a Cultural Interest monument by the Generalitat Valenciana due to its importance in the local and regional history.
From ancient Porta de la Mar at La Creu Sq. you can start a walking tour through the urban area designed to protect the town from pirate attacks. The walls shows simplicity but also the strength of the manors built along the centuries. The 1617 built church – Fortress of Santa Caterina Màrtir also stands out by its strength, spaciousness and beauty. Other beautiful religious building is the beautiful Renaissance Ermita de la Divina Pastora at the church square, where you can see Arab building remains and an early Christian village.
Free guided tours will be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in July and August at 19:30 h. Duration: an hour and a half.
Tours in French language will take place on Wednesdays 13 and 27 July and 3 and 17 August
Tours in English language will take place on Thursdays 7 and 21 July and 11 and 25 August.
Tours in Spanish language will take place on Saturday 2, 9, 23 and 30 July and 13, 20 and 27 August.
