The summer kicks off with excellent news regarding the urban safety in Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
Guardia Civil Lieutenant Javier Soliveres stated that there is a decline in crime rates in the city, which was already one of the safest municipalities of Spain according to the latest data from the Safety Board.
Over the past 30 days there have been only four minor thefts and an arrest for credit cards scam. “The crime rate is quite low compared to the national average. We can say that El Poble Nou de Benitatxell is one of the safest towns in Spain, thanks to the excellent cooperation of all the law enforcement agencies. These numbers are ideal figures and they keep a downward trend”, commented Lt. Soliveres.
The figures were released during the visit of Mayor Josep Femenia, and Security Councilman Dirk Rheindorf to Xabia’s Guardia Civil Headquarters. Poble Nou de Benitatxell signed a pioneering agreement with Xabia’s Guardia Civil to assist the renovation of the old windows and installing a new PVC pipelines in the headquarters.
