Fiestas in honour of Mary Magdalene in Benitachell
After the 2010 Moors and Christians fiestas in Benitachell, come the fiestas in honour of Saint Mary Magdalene 2010, from the 19th to 30th of July. Undoubtedly July is the most festive month of the year in Poble Nou de Benitachell
Twelve days of festivities in Benitachell that start with the celebration of the Triduum on the 19th, 20th and 21st, when on a daily basis a mass will be held in honour of Saint Roque, Saint Christopher, and St. James respectively.
On the night of Wednesday the 21st, the presentation of the festive committee for Benitachell 2010 will take place, accompanied by the municipal authorities. To end the show the party will continue with performances by the band Vertigo.
Thursday the 22nd of July is the big day of the Benitachell fiestas in honour of its patron Saint Mary Magdalene, when the festive passacaglia will be held, a mass in honour of the Patron and in the evening the solemn procession.
From the 23rd to the 25th of July, activities have been organized for all the public, such as paella contests, playground for children, costume parade, the day when the people born in each particular year get together to celebrate, as well as a mobile disc jockey to liven up the evening.
From the 26th to the 30th of July, there will be bull running in the street starting at 7:00pm in the afternoon and at midnight.
