Today we would like to share with you the information and link to Change.org so you can get the information in Spanish and English about this platform, and –if you wish- support with your signature the “Save the Tourist Rent” cause.
This petition launched by the platform Save the Tourist Rent cause was created by users and owners of tourist accommodation who wanted the Valencia Government allow free touristic apartment lease for any period.
In order to defend the right to renting properties, this platform is fighting against the pressure of the hotel industry against Valencia Government to amend the law of rental of tourist accommodation for short periods as already happened in other autonomous communities in Spain.
Changes in legislation involve strict regulations of house rental, such as 24 hours customer service, authorizations from the home owner communities and many other rules that complicate the rental housing business.
This legislative change substantially harms the interests of homeowners of Cumbre del Sol and other coastal towns.
