The Department of Health of Benitachell started a new service of weekend’s home medical service for patients requiring wound cleaning and bandage replacement. This service aims to serve patients without having to move to the Municipal Primary Care Hospital.
This new service aims to ensure health care on weekends and equal attention to the entire population as the nearest health centers are located at Javea and Teulada. This new service also grants access to basic health care to a number of patients with mobility problems or who do not own a vehicle.
Councilman of Health, Dirk Rheindorf states that is very satisfied with this new service as he said that “(the service) provides care for patients who require it, without the need to drive to the hospital. It is without doubt a step forward for all of us.”
The home medical service will be operational from October and will be provided by SVS, a company with extensive experience in the field of home care in our region.
