Miguel Indurain at Cumbre del Sol
Last week we had the opportunity and privilege of spoting Miguel Indurain training in Cumbre del Sol! The Spanish cyclist won the Tour de France for five consecutive years (1991-1995) and the Giro d’Italia on two consecutive occasions (1992 and 1993); He was also time trial world champion (1995), Olympic time trial champion (1996) and holder of the hour record (1994) for two months.
Our colleague –and fan of Miguel Indurain- Sonia Cantero, recognized him and asked him to have a picture with her, a request which he kindly agreed.
With the 9th stage of the Tour of Spain 2015 finishing at Cumbre del Sol, several cyclists are taking the same course, which combines a great sport challenge with wonderful sea views.
