Moors and Christians in Moraira
Once again, Moraira is getting ready for the Moors and Christians Festival! This year marks the 25th anniversary of this festival, reason why there is a special program prepared for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 as we show you below:
Saturday 13 June
09:00 h.: Wake up with musket shots.
10:45 h.: Gathering at the fort and then parade with flags.
12:00 h.: Mass in honor of the Holy Christ in the Church of the Virgen de los Desamparados.
12:45 h.: Shot of musketry at the Castle Esplanade.
13:00 h.: Informal Parade.
19:30 h.: Christian Conquest. Moraira Castle assault by the Christian faction followed by the Christian Embassy.
00:00 h.: Medieval war rums at Moraira Castle esplanade. Then Cábilas night with brass bands at Portet Ave., Almacenes St. and Juan XXIII and Denia St.
Sunday 14 June
09:00 h.: Wake up with musket shots
12:00 h.: Informal Parade.
12:30 h.: Shot of musketry st the Castle Esplanade.
18:00 h.: Parade of Bands from the Castle to the Fortí.
19:00 h.: Gala Parade of Moors and Christians and fireworks.
