Teulada Auditorium

Teulada-Moraira Auditorium is bringing us many pleasant surprises for next February, such as Symphonic Rhapsody of Queen or the opera “A Masked Ball”, this latter taking place on 22 February at 18:00 h.

“A Masked Ball” -co-produced with the Opera de Massy (Paris)- is a Giuseppe Verdi opera in three acts based on a libretto by Eugène Scribe about a story taking place in 1792, when Gustav III, king of Sweden, was killed as a result of a political conspiracy against him. He was shot at a masked ball and died 13 days later from his wounds. The libretto mentions names of some of the historical figures involved in the conspiracy.

Verdi’s opera (and script) was forced to undergo a series of transformations, caused by a combination of censorship rules of both in Naples and Rome, as well as the political situation in France in January 1858.

Admission price is 40 € and can be purchased at Teulada Moraira Auditorium from 11.00-13.00 h. and from 18.00 to 20.00 h. Wednesday to Saturday, Teulada Town Hall and Espai La Senieta.
