Fireworks at La Olla Altea
The closest Saturday to San Lorenzo day takes place l’Olla fireworks show in Altea. This year the event is taking place on Saturday 9 August at 00:00 h.
Organized every year by La Olla brotherhood, this show brings over 50,000 people eager to watch the fireworks show, music, dance events and other performing arts and exhibitions.
With nearly 30 years of history, this musical-pyrotechnic event has gained a significant reputation among residents and visitors of the Valencia Region, contributing to the status of Altea as an important Mediterranean cultural spot.
In recent years, the “Castell de l’Olla” has brought many boats to the bay of Altea, where the people can admire this event as part of the national fireworks calendar. The importance of this traditional event was awarded with the distinction of Costa Blanca Tourism Merit in the Golden category of 1999.
