Moors and Christians in Moraira
This week is kicking off the Moraira’s Moors and Christians 2014. The presentation of the festival took place on Saturday 7 June and events will be held in town until 15 June as we show you below:
FRIDAY 13 JUNE
13.00 h. Parade.
13.30 h. Shot of musketry in Paseo del Castillo.
19.30 h. Offering of flowers in honor of the Holy Christ of the Church of Moraira
23.15 h. Reenactment of Moors’ Conquest on the beach followed by Mooors’ Embassy and castle take over. After that, party night with “Valentinos” duo.
SATURDAY 14 JUNE
08.00 h. Fire cracker wake up
10.45 h. Gathering in the fort and then parade with flags.
12.00 h. Mass in honor of the Holy Christ of Moraira.
12.45 h. Muskets shot at the Castle Esplanade.
13.00 h. Parade
19.30 h. Christian Reconquista and Castle assault
24.00 h. Party wit “Acuario” duo.
SUNDAY 15 JUNE
09.00 h. Fire cracker wake up
12.30 h. Parade.
13.30 h. Muskets shot at the Castle Esplanade.
18.00 h. Marching bands arrival from Olivera circle to the Fort
