For 6th consecutive year, the “Camina por la Marina Alta” (Walk around Marina Alta) hiking event is one of the most important activities for Marina Alta Sport Consortium (CEMA) , which is part of the City of El Benitachell.
Four routes invite you to discover and enjoy the scenery, history and culture of the region. The 2014 edition of this sporting event will take place from 2 to 30 March in the following schedule:
Castell d’ Ambra, Pego (Sunday 2 March).
Alineación solar, La Foradada, Alcalá de la Jovada (Sunday 9 March).
Peñón d’Ifach, Calp (Sunday 16 March).
Ruta circular de Segària, Ondara (Sunday 23 March).
All routes have a low to moderate difficult level so almost anyone can perform it. In the case of postponement due to weather conditions, the event will take place on 30 March.
This year a new route will be included on 9 March to the Penya Foradada. This day you can observe the solar alignment which occurs only twice a year. Motivated by this incentive route begins at noon and ends with this phenomenon. The Consortium provides a bus which goes from Pedreguer and Pego to Alcalá de la Jovada.

At the beginning of each path will be drawn walking sticks. In addition, participants who made at least 3 out of 4 routes will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
