Traditional Market

Traditional Market

Today we would like to share some information about what you can do on Saturday 1 February if you are close to Jalon / Xalò. That Saturday you can enjoy both “Mercat de la Terra” (Local Farmers Market) and the Flea Market.

The “Mercat de la Terra Xalò” is an activity dedicated to organic farming and local produce. The market was established several months ago and already is consolidated. This market is held once a month on the first Saturday of each month at the main square of the village from 09:00 to 14:00 h.

It is a market focused on organic farming and traditional products of the area. Visitors can buy tomatoes, lettuce, wine, organic mistela, soaps, olive oil, beer, typical sausages, craft, cheese, etc … all grown or produced organically as an alternative for sustainable and responsible consumption.

The Jalón Flea Market is the other event that takes place every Saturday morning in town. There are stalls of all kinds with items such as clothing, furniture and books. Haggling is accepted and expected.
