The International Association of Residents of Benitachell (AVIB) is helping to entertain and educate the children with a € 1,500 donation aimed to the offering of Christmas Workshops. These workshops are organized by Social Services department especially for children from 3 to 12 years old during the school holidays. AVIB President Willi Lutz, Secretary Urs Rufer and Treasurer Erika Jenny, expressed their satisfaction for contributing to the leisure activity for children of the village.
The association -which brings together nearly 250 residents of foreign origin-, brings for second year these holidays activities with the collaboration of the City of Benitachell.
The project has received the backing of AVIB and Assemblea of Young People of the Poble Nou, who selflessly organizes and streamlines the activities.
AVIB spokespersons have explained that “the success of the last year has encouraged us to repeat our contribution, which emerged in order to help in times of economic difficulties for local people. We believe in investing in children welfare and this is an interesting initiative for both kids and their families”.
Benitachell Mayor Josep Femenia sincerely thanked AVIB for the generous contribution to the activity programmed by Social Services to help families and to promote leisure activities, education and culture among children and citizens.
