On the evening of Friday 25 October everybody is invited to participate in the Xabia’s Intercultural Meeting to be held at the Arenal municipal building. This event will offer several fun activities including workshops, storytelling and snack for children.
Javea Red Cross and the local Department of Social Services are organizing the program of the 6th Intercultural Meeting, an activity aimed to promote the interaction of cultures and mutual understanding as a key to improve coexistence more than 80 nationalities represented in the census of Javea. This year’s event is especially designed for youngsters growing up in this multicultural society and those who want to strengthen the messages of tolerance and respect.
Activities will begin on Thursday 24 October with a lecture by Dr. Luis Santos, who will talk about multiculturalism and childhood. This event will take place at 17:00 h. in the conference room of the Soler Blasco Museum.
On Friday 25 October will take place the Intercultural Meeting at the Punt Civic. At 17:00 h. all kids in town are invited to a storytelling of Wizard of Oz (17:00 h.) and then there will be snacks for all attendees. After that, Local Red Cross is organizing several workshops and games.
At the end of the afternoon there will be an award ceremony and handing of prizes to short stories and photography contests organized by the department of Intercultural integration and as final, there will be a Latin music show performed by Son Latinos.
