Falqui Morro Group celebrates the second Diada de Danses (Day of the dances) today Sunday 1 September.
This festive day will take the streets with Valencia traditional dances and participative activities where all the neighbors and visitors are invited.
The day will begin at 10:30 h. in Valencia Ave. with traditional dances accompanied by music and “Rondalla” serenades. Groups from other towns as well as residents can join the celebration at the street until noon. After that there will be a popular lunch organized by the Dance Group. In the afternoon (about 16:30 h.), everybody is to the performance of Pep Gimeno “Botifarra”, Gimeno’s voice recalls traditional chants linked to the oral traditions of Valencia Region.
El Morro Falquí is a local association which is energizing and helping to keep the Valencia traditional folk dances in Benitachell. Despite its still short career, this group makes people getting close and enthusiastic to regain the cultural activities almost lost in the region.
