Moors and Christians in Benitachell
Today begins the Moors and Christians Festival in Benitachell: 4 days of a fiesta which everyone is invited to join.

Thursday 11 July
20:00 h.: Concert of Youth Band of the Musical Society of Javea at Church Sq.
22:00 h.: Brotherhoods dinner.
Friday 12 July
23:00 h.: Filaes (Krewes) parade chaired by the Central Board pennant.
23:30 h.: Proclamation of the Festival and presentation of flags by Gemma Juan. Then reenacment of conquest and reconquest and Surprise for the 25th Anniversary of the Festival of Moors and Christians.
Then dance with the JEM orchestra and bar service at low prices for everyone courtesy of The Central Board of the Festival.
Saturday 13 July
09:00 h.: Wake up with music bands.
12:00 h.: Parades
19:30 h.: Flower offering
20:00 h.: Mass in honor of St. Sebastian, patron of the festival. At the end of the ceremony neckties will be given to the city’s musical bands members.
24:00 h.: Kabila night.
Sunday 14 July
09:00 h.: Musical wake up and parade.
12:00 h.: Kabila Parade
19:30 h.: Musical Bands arrival to the Town Hall
20:00 h.: Moors and Christians Gala Parade
