Benitachell Swimming Pool
Benitachell Municipal Swimming School achieved the second place on the podium of the junior local league organized by Marina Alta Sport Consortium (CEMA). This excellent result was achieved thanks to the great individual medals won by local swimmers in different styles and categories this season, as we could see last Saturday in the closing ceremony of the league at the Dénia’s swimming pool.
Up to six medals local children won in individual competitions: Irene Crespo (Silver, Front crawl), Jose Costa (gold in front crawl and backstroke), Lara Crespo (Bronze, Front Crawl) and Hayzam Adan (Bronze front crawl and backstroke). In team categories Benitachell also had excellent results: both male and female juvenile team got the gold, while the pre-benjamin category got the third position.
Sports Councilor Antonio Colomer congratulated all the participants in the closing swimming championship. Colomer said that “these good marks achieved after only two years since the Benitachell Swimming School started to compete in regional championships are a satisfaction to the Department of Sports and, above all, to the coaches.”
The closing ceremony was attended by sports schools of Ondara, Denia, Calpe, Pego, El Verger, Javea, Dénia, Benissa and Benitachell.
