Moraig Beach
Today we want to share some information coming from the city of Benitachell regarding the possible upcoming beachside improvements of access and facilities.
There is a new project of the Council of Poble Nou de Benitachell proposed to the Alicante Provincial Government’s Coasts and Beaches Administration about creating 130 parking spaces at Moraig cove surrounding area. This project has been proposed due to the lack of parking places close to the cove and consequently difficulty for the beachgoers to get to this area.
The mayor of Poble Nou de Benitachell sent the project the head of the Provincial Coastal Service, proposing the creation of 70 parking places by Barranc de l’Infern (near the road linking the Moraig areaand Lirios) and enabling 60 parking places at the side of the existing roads.
The Town has now to seek permission to Hydrographic Confederation of Júcar because this project will directly affect the Júcar river bank.
The City Council has a budget of about € 55,000 for this project.
