Puig de la Llorença
The summit of the Puig de la Llorença (Cumbre del Sol), will become a lookout site geared with telescopes next Saturday 18 August as part of the day of astronomical observation in Poble Nou de Benitachell.This event will be organized by the Town of Benitachell in collaboration with the Association of Astronomy of the Marina Alta and the sponsorship of Grupo VAPF. The activity is open to all ages and nationalities and will be English and Spanish spoken from 19:00 to 24:00 h.
Check below the activities scheduled at Santa María Magdalena College and downtown Poble Nou de Benitachell:
– Installation of 2 planetariums with screening of several films about the universe.
– Exhibition of photographs of the sky by the Astronomy Association of Marina Alta.
– Installation of a telescope for solar observation during sunset
– Screening of documentary after sunset
* During the day free typical food and drink will provided to all attendees.
Activities at Puig de la Llorença Summit-Cumbre del Sol:
Telescopes will be available for sky observation from 21:00 h. at Puig de la Llorença for the observation of the planets and stars with the assistance of the Association of Astronomy at the Marina Alta.
* There will be free transportation from the Santa María Magdalena College to the summit of Puig de la Llorença from 21:00 to0 0:30 h.
