Benitachell Festival Contest
The Department of Culture and Festivals of Poble Nou de Benitachell convenes to a contest to select the official posters and program cover for the festival in honor of Santa María Magdalena (St. Mary Magdalene).
This contest seeks to involve residents in all aspects of the festivals and also to raise awareness of the artistic potential of the municipality. Interested parties may submit their works until 22 June.
In order to promote the participation of everyone, the Department of Culture and Festivals made the terms and conditions easier to comply, putting no limitations to the type of gear, technique or format participants want to use. The requirement to submit the posters and covers is that they have to include the phrase “Festes en honor a Santa Maria Magdalena 2012. Del 20 al 29 de juliol” (Festivity in honor of Santa Maria Magdalena 2012. From 20 to 29 July ).
The creations can be submitted to main entrance of Benitachell Town Hall from 9:00 to 14:00 h. until 22 June. The prize for the winning artistic submission will be 100 euros. According to the rules, designs will be delivered without the author’s signature and a sealed envelope attached to the personal data which include contact details of the author. The jury, which will be composed of persons related to culture and art of the region, will give their verdict on Friday 29 June.
The town councils encourage all art oriented and creative neighbors to participate in this contest.
