The success of the Alicante Province gastronomy is evidenced with the 10 Michelin Stars awarded to several restaurants, including the second star received by BonAmb Restaurant in Xàbia
The Quique Dacosta restaurant maintains its 3 stars, and other restaurants such “El Monastell” (Chef María José San Román, Alicante), “La Finca” (Chef Susi Díaz, Elche) and “Casa Pepa” (Chef Pepa Romans, Ondara) keep their awarded star.
Also this year, two restaurants earned a second Michelin stars: Xàbia’s Bonàmb and Concentaina’s L’Escaleta.
Kiko Moya from L’Escaleta Restaurant has received very good reviews by the specialized critics due to his technique to purify flavors and textures from the maximum respect to the traditional products. Reviews about Alberto Ferruz from BonAmb regard the impeccable textures, power and fineness of flavors used in the dishes. Both Moya and Ferruz are considered region’s top chefs because the creativity and a technical domain in the gastronomic area.
We hope that excellent restaurants like El Campello’s Brel and Calpe’s Audrey’s and Orobianco can be featured in the Michelin Stars list in the next years.
