Tree Day in Benitachell
The Benitachell’s Department of Education is organizing a trip to the Granadella to celebrate Tree Day on Saturday 1 February 2014.
The celebration of Tree Day has focused its activities on awareness, knowledge and respect for the environment in Benitachell . The Department of Education organized a tour from Puig Llorença to Granadella in order to promote knowledge about native species on Saturday 1 February. Thus, the activity will be conducted by a specialist in environmental science and collaborators of the Municipal Department of Environment and the PTA of Santa María Magdalena School.
The tour is organized for all public because of its low – moderate degree of difficulty. The gathering for this activity will take place at 10:00 h. at the Lady Elizabeth School parking (northern entrance of the Cumbre del Sol, at the Puig Llorença). The organization committee recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring lunch and water.
Education council pointed out that the participation of families and children in recent years has been very positive for the transmission of values, social involvement and knowledge, in addition to being a fun outdoor activity for everyone.
The event is organized by Environment department and local PTA.
