Poble Nou de Benitachell officially launched “Moraig”, the first white wine of BioMoscaltell project. This wine is the first of a new line of traditional crop products projected.
The wine is made with organic grapes and has earned good reviews from experts.
This project of muscadine grapes organic conversion in Benitachell has gone a step further since the “Moraig” white wine is now available in the market. Members of all municipal associations learned about the evolution of the project and participated in the degustation of this dry white wine. Sommelier Tonet Puig was on charge of the official uncorking of the wine, where attendees first meet a “clean , bright, yellow -green in sight and muscat , lychee, mango and anise smell” ,as Piug described.
Puig also commented that this young wine is “elegant, feminine , happy , thin, acid and smooth with a very good balance in the mouth and nose” and have a “promising future”.
Manu Guardiola -student of oenology and ” Moraig ” wine supervisor- expressed his satisfaction at being able to participate in this project which boosts values of collaboration , recovery of indigenous culture and promotion of the local economy. He also stressed the commitment to local product under the distinctive ecological perspective, craftsmanship and quality.
