The departments of Health and Social Services o Poble Nou de Benitatxell has scheduled activities from 25 to 28 September aimed to “Improving the quality of life in the everyday details”.
The First Week of Health in Benitachell will offer workshops, lectures and sports events organized by the departments of Social Services and Health for all the residents interested in the well-being and quality of life.
The events will start on Tuesday 25 September with a guided activity to the local swimming pool in order to explain its functioning and the range of sports and facilities offered to everyone. Residents who want to participate in this activity must register at the Department of Social Services of the town.
Wednesday 26 September
Blood donation campaign at the Health Centre from 17:00 to 20:30 h.
Thursday 27 September
Lectures and workshop from 17:30 h. at the Social Center: lecture about “Food to prevent cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.” Following the lecture, everyone is invited to the symposium “Allergies and food labeling.”
Friday 28 September
Night time summer hike departing from the town hall at 22:00 h.
Antonio Colomer, Health office Councilman, explained that “the purpose of this first health week is to carry out activities for the whole town aimed to the prevention of daily unhealthy habits”. For that goal, the town of Benitachell is bringing professional staff from Denia’s Center for Public Health and staff from the blood transfusion Centre of Valencia Region.
Social Services Councilman Manolo Segarra, noted that “it is also important to publicize the activities and services offered by the City that can contribute to a better quality of life of the people”
