Moors and Christians in Moraira
The festival of Moors and Christians in Moraira will kick-off tomorrow and we would like to bring the complete program schedule of the fiestas from Saturday 9 to Sunday 17 June.
Saturday 9
Meeting and parade of participants in medieval costumes, presentation of flags and 80’s and 90’s nostalgia music show at the streets.
Time: 22.30 h.
Sunday 10
19.00 h.: International Jazz, Folk, Rock and Country Music Festival.
Tuesday 12
21:00 h.: English Choir Concert at the Parish of Moraira.
Wednesday 13
22:30 h.: Concert Colla el Falco, the Church Square.
Friday 15:
13:30 h.: Shot of musketry at Paseo del Castillo
19:00 h.: Offering of flowers in honor of the Holy Christ at the Church of Moraira.
23:00 h.: Spectacular Moors conquest at Ampolla Beach, followed by the Moor Embassy and Conquest of the castle. Later, Captaincies Night with DJ Coeta.
Saturday 16:
09:00 h.: Wake up with musket shots.
10:45 h.: Meeting of all enactment groups at the Fort and then a parade with Flags.
12:00 h.: Mass in honor of the Holy Christ of Moraira.
12:45 h.: Shot of muskets at the Esplanade of the Castle.
19:30 h.: Assault of the Castle by the Christian side followed by the Christian Embassy and reconquest of the Castle.
00:00 h.: Bugle revely from the Fort followed by the “Night of Arab tribes” and live music performance.
Sunday 17:
09:00 h.: Wake up with musket shots.
13:30 h.: Shots of musketry at the Castle Esplanade.
18:00 h.: Marching bands entrance from Olivera roundabout to the Fort
19:00 h.: Grand Parade of Moors and Christians and then a fireworks show.
