Many of you, readers, might be familiar with Jalón, a Costa Blanca town popular for its wines, hot punches and the street markets taking place every Saturday by the river.
From Sunday 4 March, Jalón will also be popular because of its traditional sausages, after its First Slaughter and Traditional Sausage Making Fair in Jalón, to take place on this date, from 09:30 h.
Xaló’s First Slaughter and Traditional Sausage Making Fair activities schedule:
09:30 h: Opening.
10:00 h: Quartering of pork.
10:30-11:30 h: Traditional brunch of slaughter samplers and tastings: 1 EUR per item.
11:30 h: Exhibition of traditional sausage making.
12:00 h: End of the tasting session and First Spain’s “Figatellá” (a sort of patty-shaped sausage), 1 EUR per item.
Don’t miss this typical event on Sunday 4 March! It will be held on the Alameda Boulevard, facing the Bodegas and the street market area, from 10:00 h to 14:00 h. It is a great opportunity to know and try the regional wines, homemade products, traditional sausages, local music and many more!
