Fiestas in Jàvea’s Harbour
Today we want to inform all followers of the Cumbre del Sol Blog about the festivities that will take place in Jávea’s Duanes del Mar seaport from 27 August to 8 September. These fiestas will be held in honor of the patron saint of the port of Javea, the Virgin of Loreto also called “Mare de Déu de Loreto”
There is large amount of events planned for these fiestas and here you can check the mos important ones:
Saturday 27 August at 22:30 h: Opening and presentation of the 2011 Fiestas and live performance of Montecarlo orchestra.
Sunday 28 August at 22:00 h: Fellowships Dinner on the promenade, then performance of the Scream orchestra.
From Monday 28 August to Friday 2 September: “Bous a la Mar” (Fiesta about throwing bulls to the sea in the Jávea harbout) every day ats 12:00 h, 19:00 h and 23:00 h. Every evening will be a “Toro Embolado” (bull with horns set on fire running all over the place).
Friday 2 September: V annual Paellas Contest and street music show in the venue next to the sports hall at 22:00.
Saturday 3 September: XII Ping Pong Open (09:30 h), Grand Parade (20:00 h), Xábia Academi Rock Concert at the promenade (23:00 h.), fireworks and crackers war and discotheque festival at the promenade (24:00).
Sunday 4 September: XX Chess Championship Mare de Déu de Loreto Trophy (Calle Severo Ochoa at 10:00 h).
Tuesday 6 September: Offering of Flowers (19:00 h), Pick-up night and Cuban night (24:00 h).
Thursday 8 September: “Day of Our Lady of Loreto”. Mass at 12:00 h, firecrackers at 13:30 h. Procession in honor of Our Lady of Loreto at 20:00 h on the streets of Duanas. Later, at 22:30 h, the Euforia Band will perform in ball at the promenade. The festivities will end with a fireworks show over the water in the beachfront.
