In order to make sure you are up-to-date about all our news and happenings, and as done in previous years, we are happy to bring you the fourth edition of the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort magazine. This way you won’t miss a thing!
We are pleased to collaborate with Unicef on this new edition of our magazine. VAPF Group is very aware of the crisis happening in Syria and for this reason, we wanted to contribute to the NGO with hopes that children of this region can have a better life and be protected from any type of abuse or violence.
In this edition, we tell you all about our new apartment development, Montecala Gardens, located at Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort. These modern and designer homes have different models that you can choose from and have lovely commons areas, allowing you to take advantage of the wonderful Mediterranean weather and life outdoors.
Furthermore, we are celebrating, because our Block C Blue Infinity luxury apartments are for sale as of May. Block C has 24 new apartments that stand out for their ample living space, with a surface area of over 240 m² and terraces that measure from 40 m² and up. They are also notable for their stunning ocean views and the commons areas complete with pools, gym, and wellness areas.
Additionally, in our interview section, we have the chance to hear about the experience of Alain and Martine Planard, homeowners of an apartment at Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort. Don’t miss their first impressions, advice, recommendations, and all the reasons that they opted to begin a live here at Cumbre del Sol. Furthermore, we also interviewed those in charge of the Pepe La Sal supermarket, where we found out more about the history, services, and evolution of the business since its founding in 1935.
As far as the events we have planned, this summer will be packed with all kinds of great activities. In June we celebrated our first annual VAPF Tennis Tournament in which we inaugurated two new clay courts, expanding the Cumbre del Sol sports facilities. This month we will also be celebrating the second annual tradition of Saint John’s Eve, with a dinner and live music. Later, we will be having the first Cumbre del Sol Photography Marathon, a great change for photographers to discover new parts of Cumbre del Sol such as the Cova dels Arcs and the Falla del Moraig route. Furthermore, this year we will once again celebrate Belgian National Day on June 21st and lastly, sports will play a major role this summer at Cumbre del Sol with our VAPF Paddle Tournament, the third Marina Alta Classic Car Rally, and finally the second stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a España, Tour of Spain, that will pass through Cumbre del Sol once again on the 25th of August.

At VAPF, we like to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and we are working continuously to offer our clients the best options. Among our latest developments, we like to highlight Masterplan. Masterplan is a tool that we presented last February during the 2nd VAPF Agencies Convention.
What is Masterplan? It is an interactive map that works as a guide, so that both our clients and agents can better understand the features of our developments at the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, as well as the leisure areas, amenities, and nearby natural parks.
How do you get to it? You just have to go to the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort website. When you click on “The Resort” in the top menu, another drop-down menu will appear and you will be able to click on the tab: Masterplan.
Once you are in Masterplan, it’s simple to use as it was built to be intuitive and easy. In the menu on the left, you will find the different sections that you can scroll through: areas (zonas), developments (promociones), leisure (ocio), amenities (servicios), and nature reserves (reservas naturales). When you click on each option, you will see other options appear below. For example, when clicking on Developments (Promociones), the names of all those available appear, starting with Jardines de Montecala and ending with Blue Infinity.
If you want, for example, to see where the Montecala Gardens development is; it’s as simple as clicking on Masterplan and on the Developments (Promociones) section, clicking on Montecala Gardens and the map that appears on the right will indicate the area where the development is. In addition, it will be accompanied by a “More info” (más info) button that when clicked, will take you to that particular development’s page where you can find all kinds of information such as price and images, as well as availability for the homes.
We hope you enjoy our Masterplan as much as we do. Remember that, if you want to stay up- to-date with all the activities and news regarding Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, you can do so through our blog and our social networks.

The arrival of spring doesn’t just bring us more pleasant temperatures, it also means the arrival of interesting activities like the 13th Cycle of Spring Concerts in Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Every Saturday in March, at 8pm, you will have the chance to enjoy some live music at the Santa María Magdalena church where the Marina Alta orchestra got this musical month off to the best start with their tribute to Mozart.
The music genres that attendees will enjoy are undoubtedly varied: the programme offers traditional, with regional music heard in celebrations, more classical music, and modern sounds like jazz.
After the Marina Alta Orchestra concert, on the 9th March, there is something a bit different – the 7th Young Performers Competition. This contest aims to boost the interest of Benitatxell’s young people in music and the study of music.
On Saturday 16th March, the saxophone quartet Púrpura Dansa will fill the Santa María Magdalena church with the music of famous composers such as Grieg, Dvorak, Valero-Castells and Piazzolla. The quintet Reversió Grup brings the traditional sound of the dulzaina to the present day, accompanied by piano and percussion.
The 30th March brings the turn of local music from the Costa Blanca with two-step pieces and music from the Festivals of Moors and Christians. Finally, the municipal music group of Santa María Magdalena will be responsible for saying farewell to the 13th Cycle of Spring Concerts in Benitatxell.
If you want to stay up to date with all the news about events taking place close to Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, follow our blog… and you won’t miss a thing! Every month we highlight the most relevant events so that you can choose the plans which suit you best.

Though you may also arrive at your next destination with suitcases… this time it will be to stay and live there! The Costa Blanca, with its 240km coastline and its average yearly temperature of 18 degrees, is a haven for those who want a peaceful and ideal home to live in. Even the World Health Organisation (WHO) has stated that this is one of the healthiest climates in the world. So, are you ready to start your new life in this fabulous part of Spain?
In addition to its good climate, there are three main reasons why the Costa Blanca is your destination to live in:
- Gastronomy: We’re sure we won’t have to explain much about this point to you. Though the famous Costa Blanca rice dishes are being replicated all over the world, the originals are found here. And, throughout the entire area there are different options so that you can try them all and choose the one you like best! Beyond this typical dish, Alicante also has restaurants where you can sample some delicious dishes. Up to five establishments have at least one Michelin star, and the list keeps on growing!
But it’s not just rice we have here on the Alicante coast. The “denominación de orígen” classification of Alicante wines is one of the most recognised in Spain and does not include just one type of wine. You will be able to taste wines of all kinds: white, red, sparkling, and fondillón, a unique type of wine from Alicante.
In addition to the wide variety of wines in the area, another star product is chocolate. Very close to Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort is Villajoyosa, a municipality with a great chocolate tradition where there are a number of companies which, for years, have worked to produce the best sweets in the country.
- Tradition: The tradition of the Costa Blanca is reflected in all areas: both in gastronomy and in the daily life of its people and visitors. The best way to understand a culture is to experience the main holidays and traditions that take place throughout the year. The Moors and Christians, the Bonfires of San Juan, and the Falles are just some of the most important celebrations in some of the municipalities in the region which will help you to better understand the history of an area with many moments to celebrate and to remember.
- Nature: The status of the Costa Blanca’s climate as one of the healthiest in the world is also due to the large number of natural parks in the area. And, of course, its beaches and coves deserve a special mention. Many of them are very close to Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort.
The numerous possibilities available on the Costa Blanca make it a perfect place to live. Do you need more information about the property developments we have here at VAPF? Contact us via this link and get ready to start your new life on the Costa Blanca.

If you are a nature lover, living in Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort gives you the chance to make the most of it. Few people can enjoy the privilege of watching the sunrise every day in your home facing the sea located in an ideal location surrounded by nature. Do you want to discover the most iconic spots and nature parks of the region? Take note and go out to discover them!
The Granadella Natural Park is known for being one of the few places that remain almost untouched on the Mediterranean coast and has been declared a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) of the Valencian Community and a Place of Community Interest (SCI) Penyassegats de la Marina. In addition to its great ecological and landscape value, the Granadella Natural Park also conceals some examples of the region’s historical and cultural heritage, such as traditional lime kilns or caves-shelter. In this enchanting area you will also find one of the most beautiful coves in the area, which shares its name with the park: Cala de la Granadella.
The park is just a 15 minute drive from Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort and, if you are a sports lover, you can get there by bicycle or by walking along the PR-CV-354. Due to the privileged proximity of the park to Cumbre del Sol, the owners of our luxury apartments and villas can easily enjoy a wide range of activities such as hiking, snorkeling or mountain biking.
A little further, in the Albir, we find the Sierra Helada Natural Park. Its curious name comes from two reasons: one of them is because it creates a colder microclimate than the surrounding one and the second reason is because some nights the brightness of the moon on the limestone creates a reflection similar to frozen surfaces. The natural park occupies almost the complete mountain range of the same name and stands out for its abrupt relief and cliffs of more than 300 metres. Nearby, in Calpe, is the well-known Peñón de Ifach Natural Park, whose rock has become one of the most recognised icons on the Costa Blanca over the years.
Another of the natural parks less than an hour from Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort is the Marjal de Pego-Oliva Natural Park, which is characterised by the high quality of its waters, as this area has one of the highest rainfall indices in the Valencian Community. One of the main curiosities of this place are the underground water springs that create small water lagoons. This natural park also highlights its biodiversity, both animal and plant.
The Macizo del Montgó Natural Park is also less than an hour drive from Cumbre del Sol and is characterised by having the largest cliffs in the area, its maximum height of 753 m above sea level and a flora of more than 650 species. It is also home to the Natural Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio de Jávea, a very emblematic place in the province of Alicante.
Begin your adventure! Come and visit each of these places. At VAPF we advise you to wear comfortable clothes, suitable footwear, water and sun protection. We are sure that you will fall in love with every corner!

Much like it does every year, Spain is getting ready to dress up and celebrate Carnival. Of course, the Costa Blanca will be doing its bit to display the happiness, colours, and magic of Carnival. In fact, there is sure to be a fancy dress party in every municipality in the province of Alicante during the first weekend in March. As a result, there’s no need to travel far to enjoy a special night – here are our recommendations for the best Carnival celebrations on the Costa Blanca.
Benissa, close to Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort, celebrates the holiday in a traditional way. The city gets dressed up starting in the afternoon, first with a children’s parade followed by live music in the Dolors Piera park, then an outdoor disco in Riberer square.
Two of the largest cities in Marina Alta, Denia and Calpe, also organise an event for Carnival with special activities for children. In Denia, there is a fancy dress competition with different categories to participate in: for the little ones there are two categories (Mini, up to 4 years old; and Children, from 5 to 12 years old), then there is Duo, for pairs with no age limit, and Comparsa, for groups of 3 or more people. You can find more information about schedules on the Denia Council website.
Calpe also organises a fancy dress contest in which two prizes are awarded in the individual category and up to three are given in the group category. In the evening, the party comes to the city with a parade and a charanga band battle from 12:00 onwards. You can find more information on the Caple Council website. Here, you can also enjoy something that is unique to the area – the German Carnival which is organised by the Calpe Creative Club, a group of Germans who live in the city.
One of the most famous Carnivals on the Costa Blanca is the one in Pego. The city throws itself wholeheartedly into the holiday and the celebrations even start a week beforehand with the “Baixada del RiuBullent”, a fun activity which involves a race along the river in motorless boats made by the participants themselves… in fancy dress!
Of course, the capital of the Costa Blanca, Alicante, also celebrates Carnival with a huge parade. The most important day is the 2nd March, when the well-known sábado ramblero takes over Rambla de Méndez Núñez from 10pm.
So, close to Cumbre del Sol you’ll be able to enjoy the party however you want to. Have you decided which celebration is for you? Do you have your costume ready? You still have time… but don’t take much longer to decide!
