San Juan Bonfires in Jávea
June will be especially attractive in Jávea with the celebration of the fiestas of San Juan, considered a cultural and entertainment reference in all Mediterranean area.
After our first part of the schedule, below the second part of the most important activities scheduled in for this fiesta:
Sunday, 19 June
10:00 h: Wake up fiesta for children in the Reina Sofía Park. Then sardines and cakes for everyone.
19:00 h: Bull releases on the streets.
22:00 h: Rondallas music competition at the Convent square.
02:00 h: Mobile disc play party until 4:00 h. at the bullring
Monday, 20 June
09:00 h: Bonfire installation at the Constitución square and the small square of the Convent square.
10:00 h: Darts Championship at “Fadrins borratxos i fins” in Calle Mayor.
13:30 h: Giant Paella for everyone at Montaner Park.
17:00 h: Children Games at the Convent square.
18:00 h: Raspall Championship in Ratchet Xàbia.
18:00 h: Children’s ball in the small at the Convent square.
19:00 h: Concert by Rock Academy Javea at the Convent square.
21:30 h: (BYO) Dinner and music performers at Reina Sofia Park.
23:30 h: Night of rock at the Constitución square: La Gossa Sorda and Lax’n Bustos. Next Mobile disc play until 4:30 in the morning.
Wednesday, 22 June
08:00 h: Wake up fiesta organized by “l’Enviscà” and “Fadrins borratxos i fins” clubs.
11:30 h: Parade.
19:00 h: Wreath to St. John in the church square.
22:30 h: ppular ball dance in Carrer Nou.
00:00 h: Musical tribute to Mecano pop band in the Constitución Square
Thursday, 23 June
08:00 h: Wake up fiesta organized by “Pensat i Fet ” club
11:00 h: Traditional offering of grapes to San Juan
19:00 h: Fiesta’s clubs Parade
00.00 h: Burning of paper sculptures
02:00 h: Correfocs (fireworks war) in the streets around Constitución square. Then GRUPO.ES orchestra Performance.
Friday, 24 June
08:00 h: Wake up fiesta organized by “Tro” and “Kaffirs” clubs.
10:00 h: Procession to pick up the Court of Honor, Ladies and Queen of the fiesta.
12:00 h: Mass in honor of San Juan in the church of Sant Bertomeu.
14:00 h: Mascletà (fire crackers show)in the Palmela Avenue parking.
14:30 h: Wine Reception in the Palmela Avenue parking offered by the fiesta’s Queens.
19:00 h: Parade.
22:00 h: Burning of children’s paper sculptures on the Convent square.
23:30 h: Performance by the Scream orchestra in Constitución Square.
00:00 h: Fireworks show in Constitución Square and main Bonfire show.
